Psalm 52

Psalm 52:1-9

52
Chapter 52
1 When Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, saying to him, "David has come to the house of Ahimelech." 2 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty one, while God's lovingkindness endures all day long? 3 You devise destruction; your tongue is like a sharpened razor, working deceit. 4 You have loved evil instead of good, lying speech instead of righteousness. Selah. 5 You have loved all the words of deceit, a tongue of deception. Selah. 6 Also God will tear you down forever; he will uproot and snatch you from the tent and your root from the land of life. Selah. 7 And the righteous will see and fear, and they will laugh at him: 8 Behold the man who does not set God as his stronghold and trusts in the abundance of his riches; he takes refuge in his destruction. 9 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I have trusted in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
