Chapter 26
1 You shall make the tabernacle of ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet of worm; you shall make them with cherubim, the work of a designer. 2 The length of the one curtain was twenty-eight cubits and the width four cubits, the one curtain one measurement for all the curtains. 3 Five curtains shall be joined one to another, and five curtains joined one to another. 4 You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the end curtain of the one set, and likewise on the edge of the outermost curtain of the second set. 5 You shall make fifty loops on the one curtain, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is at the second coupling, opposite the loops, one opposite to one. 6 You shall make fifty gold hooks, and you shall join the curtains to one another with the hooks, and the tabernacle shall be one. 7 And you shall make goat-hair curtains for a tent over the tabernacle—twelve curtains; you shall make them. 8 The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. All twelve curtains shall have the same measure. 9 And you shall join the five curtains together by themselves, and the six curtains together by themselves, and you shall fold the sixth curtain over toward the front of the Tent. 10 You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain in the second set. 11 You shall make fifty bronze hooks, and you shall put the hooks into the loops, and you shall join the tent, and it shall be one. 12 The overhanging part of the tent curtain—half the overhanging curtain—shall hang over the back of the tabernacle. 13 And the cubit on this side and the cubit on this side in the surplus of the length of the tent of the Tabernacle will hang over the sides of the Tabernacle on this side and on this side to cover it. 14 And you shall make a covering for the tent, rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of fine-leather skins from above. 15 And you shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing up. 16 Each board was ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. 17 Two tenons for one board, interlocking with its counterpart—so you shall do for all the boards of the tabernacle. 18 You shall make the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side, toward the Negev. 19 You shall make forty silver bases under the twenty frames—two bases under one frame for its two handholds, and two bases under one frame for its two handholds. 20 And for the side of the Tabernacle on the north side, twenty boards. 21 And their forty silver bases: two bases under one board, and two bases under one board. 22 For the rear of the tabernacle, to the west, you shall make six boards. 23 And you shall make two boards for the corners of the Tabernacle at its rear. 24 They shall be paired below, and together they shall be whole at the top to the one ring. In this way it shall be for them both; they shall be for the two corners. 25 And they will be eight boards and their silver bases, sixteen bases: two bases under each board and two bases under each board. 26 You shall make crossbars of acacia wood for them, five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle. 27 And five bars for the boards of the side of the Tabernacle the second, and five bars for the boards of the side of the Tabernacle at the rear seaward. 28 The middle bar in the middle of the boards from end to end. 29 You shall overlay the boards with gold, and you shall make their rings of gold as houses for the bars, and you shall overlay the bars with gold. 30 And you shall set up the tabernacle according to its plan, which I showed you on the mountain. 31 And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet of worm and fine twisted linen, the work of a designer; it shall have cherubim. 32 You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold, with their hooks of gold, on four bases of silver. 33 And you shall put the veil under the hooks, and you shall bring the ark of the testimony there from the House of God to the veil, and the veil shall separate for you between the holy and the holy of holies. 34 And you shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies. 35 You shall place the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle, and you shall place the table on the north side. 36 And you shall make a screen for the entrance of the tent—blue and purple and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer. 37 You shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia wood, overlay them with gold, make their hooks of gold, and cast five bases of bronze for them.
