Psalm 76:1-12

76
Chapter 76
For the chief musician. With instrumental music. A psalm. For Asaph. A song. 1 God is known in Judah; his name is great in Israel. 2 He was in Salem; his tabernacle was there, and his dwelling was in Zion. 3 There he broke the fiery arrows of the bow, the shield and sword of war. Selah. 4 You are bright, majestic from mountains of prey. 5 The stouthearted were despoiled; the mighty of heart slumbered their sleep, and all the men of strength did not find their hands. 6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse grew numb. 7 You are awesome. Who can stand before you when your anger arises? 8 From the heavens you made your judgment heard; the land feared and was quiet. 9 From heaven you caused judgment to be heard; earth feared and was quiet. Selah. 10 For the heat of man you will thank, the remainder of heat you will gird. 11 Vow and fulfill to the LORD your God; let all around him bring gifts to the Awesome One. 12 He cuts short the spirit of princes; he is fearsome to the kings of the earth.
