Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel

Genesis 29:15-30

Chapter 29
15 And Laban said to Jacob, "Is it like this, my brother? Should you serve me for nothing? Tell me, what are your wages?" 16 And Laban had two daughters. The name of the older one was Leah, and the name of the younger one was Rachel. 17 And the eyes of Leah were tender, and Rachel was beautiful of form and beautiful of appearance. 18 And Jacob loved Rachel and said, "I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter." 19 And Laban said, "It is better that you give her to yourself than that I give her to another man. Place her according to my standing." 20 And Jacob served for Rachel seven years, and they were in his eyes like a few days, for his love for her. 21 And Jacob said to Laban, "Give me my wife, for my days have been fulfilled, and I will go to her." 22 And Laban gathered all the men of the place and made a feast. 23 And it was evening, and he took Leah his daughter and brought her to him, and he came to her. 24 And Laban gave his maidservant Zilpah to her as a maidservant to Leah his daughter. 25 And it was in the morning, and behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, "What is this you have done to me? Did I not serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?" 26 And Laban said, "It is not done this way in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn." 27 Fulfill the seven, and I will give her to you also—this one—in service that you will serve with me yet seven other years. 28 And Jacob did so and fulfilled those seven years, and he gave his daughter Rachel to him as a wife. 29 And Laban gave Bilhah his maidservant to his daughter Rachel as a maidservant to her. 30 He also came to Rachel, and he loved Rachel very much too. And he served with him yet another seven years.
