No Confidence in the Flesh; Righteousness in Christ

Philippians 3:1-11

Chapter 3
1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is not irksome for me, but safe for you. 2 Look out for the dogs, look out for the evil workers, look out for the mutilation. 3 For we are the circumcision, the ones worshiping in the Spirit of God and boasting in Christ Jesus and not having confidence in the flesh. 4 although I have confidence even in flesh. If anyone else seems to have confidence in flesh, I more so. 5 circumcised on the eighth day, from the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew from Hebrews, according to the Law a Pharisee. 6 according to zeal, persecuting the church; according to righteousness in the law, having become blameless. 7 But the things that were gains to me, I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 But on the contrary indeed also I consider all things to be loss on account of the surpassing value of the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord, through whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and I consider them dung in order that I might gain Christ. 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness from the law, but one through faith in Christ Jesus—the righteousness from God based on faith. 10 to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, 11 if somehow I might attain the resurrection from the dead.
