Exodus 20:22-21:1

Chapter 20
22 The LORD said to Moses, "This is what you shall say to the Israelites: 'You have seen that I have spoken with you from heaven.'" 23 You shall not make gods of silver or gods of gold with me; you shall not make them for yourselves. 24 You shall make an altar of earth for me, and you shall sacrifice your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on it, your sheep and your cattle. At every place where I cause my name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you. 25 If you make an altar of stones for me, you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you lift your sword on it, you profane it. 26 You shall not go up by steps to my altar, so that your nakedness may not be exposed on it.

Chapter 21
1 These are the judgments that you shall set before them.
