The Bowl Judgments: The Seven Bowls of God's Wrath

Revelation 16:1-21

Chapter 16
1 And I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth." 2 And the first went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and there broke out a harmful and painful sore on the people who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. 3 And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man, and every living soul died—the things in the sea. 4 And the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of the waters, and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "Righteous are you, the one who is and the one who was, the Holy One, because you judged these things." 6 because they poured out the blood of holy ones and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; they are worthy. 7 And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments." 8 And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given to him to scorch people with fire. 9 And the people were scorched with great heat. And they blasphemed the name of God, the one who has authority over these plagues, and they did not repent to give him glory. 10 And the fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened, and they gnawed their tongues from the pain, 11 And they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and because of their sores, and they did not repent of their works. 12 And the sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared. 13 And I saw from the mouth of the dragon, from the mouth of the beast, and from the mouth of the false prophet three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 for they are spirits of demons doing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited world, to gather them to the war of the day of the great God the Almighty— 15 Look, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who is watching and keeping his garments, so that he might not walk naked and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them to the place called, in Hebrew, Armageddon. 17 And the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air—and a great voice came from the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done." 18 and there were lightnings and voices and thunders, and a great earthquake occurred, such as had not happened since humanity was on the earth: such a great earthquake. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the wrath of his anger. 20 And every island fled, and no mountains were found. 21 And hail large as talent-weights comes down from heaven upon the men; and the men blasphemed God from the plague of the hail, because its plague is exceedingly great.
