Chapter 39
22 The house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God from that day onward. 23 And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile on account of their iniquity, because they transgressed against me, and I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their foes, and they fell by the sword, all of them. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions, I dealt with them and hid my face from them. 25 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the captivity of Jacob, and I will have compassion on the whole house of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 And they will forget their disgrace and all their trespasses that they trespassed against me, when they return to their ground securely and there is no terrifying. 27 When I return them from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies and consecrate myself in them before the eyes of many nations. 28 And they will know that I am the LORD their God when I exile them to the nations and gather them to their land, and I will not leave any more of them there. 29 And I will not hide my face from them any longer, upon whom I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel, utterance of the Lord GOD.
