Psalm 46:1-11

Chapter 46
To the director, to the sons of Korah, upon alamoth, a song. 1 God is for us a refuge and strength, a help very much found in distresses. 2 Therefore we do not fear when the land changes and when the mountains slip into the heart of the sea. 3 They roar, its waters foam, the mountains quake at its swelling. Selah. 4 A river—its channels rejoice the city of God, the holy place, the dwelling of the Most High. 5 God is in her midst; she will not be shaken. God will help her at the turning of the morning. 6 The nations roared, the kingdoms tottered; he gave his voice, the earth melts. 7 The LORD of hosts is with us, our stronghold; the God of Jacob. Selah. 8 Come—see the deeds of the LORD, who has set desolations in the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and cuts short the spear; he burns the chariots in fire. 10 "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The LORD of hosts is with us, a stronghold for us; the God of Jacob. Selah.
