Aaron’s Staff Becomes a Serpent

Exodus 7:8-13

Chapter 7
8 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron: 9 When Pharaoh says to you, "Give us a sign," then you shall say to Aaron, "Take your staff and throw it before Pharaoh; it shall become a tannin." 10 Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a tannin. 11 Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and the magicians of Egypt did the same things with their secret spells. 12 Each man threw down his staff, and they became tanninim, and Aaron's staff swallowed their staffs. 13 Pharaoh's heart was strengthened, and he did not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.
