One New Humanity: Reconciliation in Christ

Ephesians 2:11-22

2
Chapter 2
11 Therefore remember that once you, the nations in flesh, who are called uncircumcision by the so-called Circumcision in flesh made with hands, 12 that you were at that time without Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and godless in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, the one who made both one and broke down the middle wall of the cultic vineyard boundary, the enmity, in his flesh, 15 the law of commandments in decrees having abolished, so that he might create the two in himself into one new man, making peace, 16 and reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the enmity in it. 17 And he came and proclaimed the gospel of peace to you who were far off, and peace to those near. 18 because through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 Therefore you are no longer foreigners and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in which every building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
