John 12:12-19

Chapter 12
12 The next day the large crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, and they were crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed is the one coming in the name of the Lord, and the king of Israel!" 14 But Jesus found a donkey and sat upon it, just as it is written. 15 Do not fear, daughter of Zion. Look, your king is coming, sitting on a colt of a donkey. 16 His disciples did not know these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him. 17 Therefore the crowd that was with him testified, because he had called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead. 18 The crowd met him for this reason also, because they heard that he had done this sign. 19 The Pharisees therefore said to themselves, "Look, you are not benefiting anything; behold, the whole world has gone away behind him."
