Psalm 4

Psalm 4:1-8

4
Chapter 4
For the chief musician, with stringed instruments, a psalm of David. 1 When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness; you have enlarged me in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer. 2 Sons of men, how long will you dishonor my glory? You love emptiness; you seek a lie. Selah. 3 But know that the LORD has set apart the pious for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. 4 Tremble and do not sin; say in your heart on your bed and be silent. Selah. 5 Tremble and do not sin; speak in your heart on your bed and be silent. Selah. 6 Many say, "Who will show us good?" Raise upon us the light of your face, LORD. 7 You have put joy in my heart, more than at the time of their much grain and new wine. 8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
