Chapter 10
1 And in all this we have cut a covenant and written it, and our princes, our Levites, and our priests are upon the seal. 2 And on the signers: Nehemiah the Tirshatha, son of Hilkiah, and Zedekiah. 3 Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah. 4 Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah. 5 Hatush, Shebaniah, Maluch 6 Herem from Marimoth Obadiah. 7 Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch. 8 Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin. 9 Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah: these are the priests. 10 And the Levites: Jeshua son of Azaniah, Binnui from the sons of Hannedad Kadmiel. 11 And their brothers: Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan. 12 Michaiah, Rehob, Hashabiah. 13 Remember She-re-bi-ah She-ba-ni-ah. 14 Hodiah, sons of our sons. 15 Heads of the people: Parosh, Pahath-Moab, Elam, Zattu, sons. 16 Sons of Ezga, of his house. 17 Adonijah of the Nations. 18 Ater, Hezekiah, Azur. 19 Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai. 20 Anathoth prophesied sharply. 21 Magpiash, Meshullam, his swine. 22 Meshizabel, Zadok: known. 23 Pelatiah, Hanan, Ananiah. 24 Hoshea son of Hananiah son of Hashub. 25 The whisperer cultic releases. 26 Rehum, Hashbannah, Maaseiah 27 And Achiah, Hanan, Onan. 28 I have devoted the ban to destruction, Beana. 29 and the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who separated from the peoples of the lands to the Torah of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who knows and understands. 30 holding fast to their brothers, their majestic ones, and entering into a curse and an oath to walk in the Torah of God which was given by the hand of Moses servant of God, and to keep and to do all the commandments of the LORD our God and his judgments and his statutes. 31 and that we will not give our sons to the peoples of the land or let their daughters take our sons. 32 And the people of the land, the bringers of the wares and every grain on the day of the Sabbath, to sell—we will not take from them on the Sabbath and on the day of the holy place, and abandon the seventh year and the burden of every hand. 33 And we have established commandments upon ourselves to give upon us a third of the shekel in the year for the service of the temple of our God. 34 for the bread of the arrangement and the continual grain offering and the continual burnt offering, the Sabbaths, the new moons, for appointed times and holy things and sin offerings to make atonement for Israel and all the work of the house of our God. 35 And we cast lots for the offering of wood—the priests, the Levites, and the people—to bring it to the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at appointed times year after year, to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the Torah. 36 and to bring the firstborn of our ground and the firstborn of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of the LORD. 37 And the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as written in the Torah, and the firstborn of our cattle and our sheep, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests serving in the house of our God. 38 And the firstfruits of our threshing floors and our heave offerings and the fruit of every tree, new wine and olive oil, we will bring to the priests, to the temple chambers of the house of our God. And the tithe of our ground to the Levites—and they the Levites are the ones tithing in all the cities of our service. 39 And the priest, the son of Aaron, will be with the Levites when they take the tenth of the Levites, and the Levites will bring up the tithe of the tithe to the house of our God, to the chambers, to the treasury house.
