Chapter 20
10 So the disciples went back to their homes. 11 Mary, however, was standing outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she bent down to look into the tomb. 12 And she sees two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 And they say to her, "Woman, why do you weep?" She says to them, "They took away my Lord, and I do not know where they put him." 14 Having said these things, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus says to her, “Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek?” She, supposing that he is the gardener, says to him, “Lord, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him.” 16 Jesus says to her, “Mary.” She turns and says to him in Hebrew, “Rabboni.” 17 Jesus says to her, “Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 Mary Magdalene came and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that he had said these things to her.
