Psalm 47:1-9

Chapter 47
For the director. A psalm. For the sons of Korah. 1 All the peoples clap their hands. Shout to God with a voice of shouting. 2 For the LORD Most High is fearsome, a great king over all the earth. 3 He subdues peoples under us and nations under our feet. 4 He will speak to the peoples under us, to the nations under our feet. He chooses our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah. 5 God ascended with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a horn. 6 Sing praises to God; sing praises, sing praises to our King. 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding. 8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. 9 Nobles of peoples have gathered as the people of the God of Abraham, for to God belong the shields of the land. He is most high; he is exalted.
