Chapter 12
31 He called to Moses and Aaron at night and said, "Rise, go out from the midst of my people, both you and the sons of Israel, and go, serve the LORD as you have spoken." 32 Also take your sheep and flock, also your cattle, as you spoke, and go and bless me also. 33 The Egyptians pressed upon the people to hurry and send them out of the land, for they said, "We are all dead." 34 The people took up their dough before it leavened, their kneading-troughs bound up in their garments on their shoulders. 35 The sons of Israel did according to the word of Moses, and they asked the Egyptians for vessels of silver and vessels of gold and garments. 36 The LORD gave the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians, and they asked them, and they plundered Egypt. 37 The sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand footmen of the men, apart from dependents. 38 A mixed multitude also went up with them, along with sheep, cattle, and very heavy livestock. 39 They baked the dough that they had brought out of Egypt into cakes of unleavened bread, for it had not leavened. They had been driven out of Egypt and could not delay; they had also not prepared provisions for themselves. 40 The dwelling of the sons of Israel, which they dwelt in Egypt, was thirty years and four hundred years. 41 At the end of four hundred and thirty years, at the exact time on that day, all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. 42 It is a night of watches for the LORD, for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is a night of watches to the LORD for all the sons of Israel, throughout their generations.
