Psalm 36

Psalm 36:1-12

36
Chapter 36
To the director. For the servant of the LORD. For David. 1 An oracle of transgression to the wicked in the midst of my heart: there is no fear of God before his eyes. 2 For he has smoothed it to himself in his eyes to find his transgression, to hate it. 3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; he has ceased to be discerning to do good. 4 He devises iniquity upon his bed; he sets himself upon a way that is not good; he does not reject evil. 5 The LORD in the heavens your loyal love, your faithfulness to the skies. 6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, your judgments are the great deep. You save man and beast, O LORD. 7 How precious is your lovingkindness, O God! The sons of Adam take refuge in the shadow of your wings. 8 They shall be sated from the fatness of your house, and from the stream of your delights you shall make them drink. 9 For with you is the spring of life; in your light we see light. 10 Extend your loyal love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright of heart. 11 Let not the foot of pride come upon me, and let not the hand of the wicked shake me. 12 There the workers of iniquity fell; they were thrust down and could not rise.
