Psalm 80:1-19

Chapter 80
For the director: Of the lilies, a testimony. Of Asaph. A psalm. 1 Shepherd of Israel, give ear. You who lead Joseph like a flock, who sit on the cherubim, shine forth. 2 Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, stir up your might and come to save us. 3 God, restore us and shine your face upon us, and we will be saved. 4 LORD God of Hosts, how long will you be angry with the prayers of your people? 5 You have fed them bread of tears and made them drink tears in threefold measure. 6 You make us an object of strife to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us. 7 God of hosts, restore us and shine your face upon us, and we will be saved. 8 You uprooted a vine from Egypt, drove out the nations, and planted it. 9 You cleared the ground before her, and she took root and filled the land. 10 Its boughs stretched over the mountains for shade, and its branches over the cedars of God. 11 It sent out its shoots to the Sea and its branches to the River. 12 Why have you breached its walls so that all who pass by the way graze it? 13 A boar from the forest uproots it, and beasts of the field graze it. 14 God of hosts, please return. Look down from heaven and see and visit this vine. 15 and the shoot that you planted with your right hand, and the son whom you strengthened for yourself. 16 It is burned with fire, like one cast away; at the rebuke of your face they will perish. 17 Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you made strong for yourself. 18 Let your hand not depart from the man at your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself. 19 LORD God of hosts, restore us. Let your face shine, and we will be saved.
