Psalm 28:1-9

28
Chapter 28
To David. To you, LORD, I call; my Rock, do not be deaf to me! Lest you be silent to me, and I be likened to those going down to the pit. 1 To David. To you, O LORD, I call, my Rock; do not be deaf to me, lest you be silent to me and I be reckoned with those going down to the pit. 2 Do not draw me away with the wicked and with workers of iniquity, speakers of peace to their companions while evil is in their heart. 3 Do not draw me away with the wicked and with workers of iniquity, speakers of peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts. 4 For they do not understand the work of the LORD or the deeds of his hands; he will tear them down and not build them up. 5 Blessed be the LORD, because he heard the voice of my supplications. 6 Blessed be the LORD, for he has heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped. My heart exults, and with my song I thank him. 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped. My heart exults, and with my song I will give him thanks. 8 The LORD is their might and the strength of the salvations of his anointed. Save your people and bless your inheritance, and shepherd them and carry them forever.
