Psalm 64

Psalm 64:1-10

64
Chapter 64
For the director: a psalm of David. 1 Hear, God, my voice in my murmuring. From the fear of the enemy, you guard my life. 2 Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, from the agitation of the workers of iniquity. 3 who have sharpened their tongue like a sword; their arrow is a bitter word. 4 They shoot the innocent in secret; suddenly they shoot him, and they do not fear. 5 They strengthen for themselves an evil word; they tell others to hide snares. They say, "Who will see them?" 6 They strengthen for themselves an evil matter. They recount to hide snares. They say, "Who will see for them?"—Huram and deep heart. 7 God shot an arrow suddenly; their wounds came. 8 God shot an arrow suddenly; their wounds were as strokes. They will shake their tongue against him; everyone who sees them will nod. 9 And all people will fear; they will declare the work of God, and they will understand his work. 10 The righteous will rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him, and all upright of heart will boast.
