Psalm 57:1-11

57
Chapter 57
For the chief musician. Do not destroy. A michtam of David, when he fled from the face of Saul in the cave. 1 Be gracious to me, O God. Be gracious to me, for in you my soul has taken refuge, and in the shadow of your wings I will find refuge until the destructions pass by. 2 I call to God Most High, to God who finishes over me. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for in you my soul has taken refuge, and in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge until calamity passes. 3 He will send from heaven and save me, he who reproaches the one who snorts at me. Selah. God will send his steadfast love and his truth. 4 My soul lies down amid lions, flaming ones, sons of Adam, their two spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. 5 Be exalted above the heavens, God; above all the land, your glory. 6 They prepared a net for my steps; they bent down my soul; they dug before my face. They fell into the midst of it. Selah. 7 My heart is steadfast, God; my heart is steadfast. I will sing and I will make music. 8 Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn. 9 I will give thanks to you among the peoples, Lord; I will sing to you among the nations. 10 For great is your loyal love to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. 11 Be exalted above the heavens, God; above all the land be your glory.
