Aaron’s Death

Numbers 20:22-29

20
Chapter 20
22 They journeyed from the sanctuary, and all the congregation of the sons of Israel came to Mount Hor. 23 And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom, saying: 24 Aaron will be gathered to his people, for he will not come to the land which I have given to the sons of Israel, because you rebelled against my mouth at the waters of Meribah. 25 Take Aaron and his son Eleazar and bring them up Mount Hor. 26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and you shall clothe them on Eleazar his son; and Aaron will be gathered, and he died there. 27 Moses did as the LORD commanded, and they went up the mountain in the sight of the whole congregation. 28 Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron died there at the top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain. 29 And all the congregation saw that Aaron had expired, and they wept for Aaron thirty days, all the house of Israel.
