Chapter 8
To the director, on the Gittith. A psalm. Of David. 1 LORD our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, which you have set your splendor above the heavens. 2 From the mouth of babes and nursing ones you have founded strength for the sake of your foes, to make the enemy and avenger cease. 3 For I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars which you established. 4 What is man that you remember him, and the son of man that you visit him? 5 For you remember him, the son of man; for you visit him. You have made him lack little from God, and with glory and splendor you have crowned him. 6 And you make him lack a little from God, and with glory and majesty you crown him. 7 You make him rule them with the works of your hands, all sheep and oxen, and also beasts of the field. 8 cosmic of heavens and fish of the temple, on paths of seas. 9 LORD our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
