Rejecting False Teaching and the Dangers of Loving Money

1 Timothy 6:3-10

6
Chapter 6
3 If anyone teaches differently and does not agree to sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the teaching according to godliness, 4 He is puffed up, knowing nothing, but obsessed with disputes and word-battles, from which come envy, strife, blasphemies, and evil suspicions. 5 constant irritations from men corrupted in the mind and deprived of the truth, who think godliness is a means of gain. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we are not able to carry anything out. 8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with these. 9 But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires, which plunge people into destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all evils, some craving which have gone astray from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.
