   The singular noun names a payment or price connected with a person’s life or standing: in Exodus 21:30 the APB renders a payment imposed on a liable person, while Numbers 35:31 and Numbers 35:32 prohibit taking such a payment in cases involving a murderer or a refugee. In Exodus 30:12 it is given for each person at a listing, and in Job 33:24 the APB renders a found payment in the command to deliver someone from going down to the pit. Isaiah 43:3 and Proverbs 21:18 present persons or peoples in an exchange relationship.
