Hosos marks the full set of things or people in view, and can also measure an amount or the time a condition lasts.
The attested uses most often gather a complete set of things or actions under a relative clause; they also identify all persons meeting a stated condition, quantify an amount or degree, and mark the duration of a condition.

The neuter accusative plural form ὅσα introduces a comprehensive set of matters or actions. In Acts 14:27 the APB renders the report as “all that God had done”; in John 16:15 it renders “All that the father has is mine”; in Luke 12:3 it renders both “whatever you have said” and “whatever you have spoken”; in John 4:29 it renders “all that I did”; and in 1 Corinthians 2:9 it renders what God has prepared.

The nominative plural masculine form ὅσοι marks a group characterized by the following clause. In Acts 13:48 the APB renders “as many as were appointed to eternal life”; in Galatians 3:27, “as many as were baptized into Christ”; in 1 Timothy 6:1, “all who are under the yoke as bondservants”; in Acts 4:34, “as many as were owners of places or homes”; and in Galatians 6:16, “as many as will walk by this rule.”

The term can quantify the extent involved in a clause. In John 6:11 the APB renders the distribution of fish as “as much as they wanted”; in Luke 11:8 it renders the gift as “as much as he needs”; in Acts 9:13 it renders the reported evil as “how much evil”; and in Acts 9:16 it renders the suffering to be shown as “how much he must suffer.”

With a singular accusative form, the term marks how long a stated situation continues. In 1 Corinthians 7:39 the APB renders the wife as bound “as long as her husband lives”; in 2 Peter 1:13, the writer acts “for as long as I am in this tent”; and in Galatians 4:1, the heir remains a child for the stated period.
In the Anselm Project Bible: Across these verses the APB variously presents the term with expressions such as “all that,” “whatever,” “as many as,” “as much as,” “how much,” and “as long as.” These are clause-level renderings rather than definitions.
