   In Genesis 10:2 and 1 Chronicles 1:5, the form is tagged as a proper noun and occurs in the list introduced as “The sons of Japheth.” The APB renders the surrounding lists with Magog alongside Gomer, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

2. The land identified with Gog · common

   In Ezekiel 38:2, the proper noun occurs in the clause “Gog of the land of Magog,” distinguishing the land from Gog in the APB’s rendering. In Ezekiel 39:6, the APB renders Magog as the recipient of fire, alongside those dwelling securely in the coastlands.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the name directly in the genealogical lists, then uses “the land of Magog” in Ezekiel 38:2 and “on Magog” in Ezekiel 39:6. These renderings confirm the clauses’ presentation rather than isolate every contribution of the Hebrew form.
