In Exodus 28:30 and Leviticus 8:8, the plural noun is placed in the breastpiece with the Thummim. In Numbers 27:21 the APB renders an inquiry "by the judgment of the Urim before the LORD," while 1 Samuel 28:6 lists Urim among the means by which Saul did not receive an answer; Ezra 2:63 and Nehemiah 7:65 likewise make a priest's standing or arising for Urim and Thummim the condition for a decision.
In the Anselm Paraphrase: The APB retains the name "Urim" in every supplied verse, commonly joining it with "Thummim." Its whole-verse paraphrase also presents Urim in placement within a breastpiece and in priestly inquiry, but it is not word-aligned.
