A biblical person named in 1 Chronicles, Ezra, and Nehemiah, identified as Meshezabel’s son in Nehemiah.
Pethahiah in the Bible is a biblical person first named in 1 Chronicles 24:16, where the nineteenth fell to him. He is named in at least four verses across 1 Chronicles, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Ezra lists Pethahiah among the Levites (Ezra 10:23), and Nehemiah includes him among Levites who call on others to bless the LORD (Nehemiah 9:5). Another passage identifies him as Meshezabel’s son, from the sons of Zerah son of Judah, and says he was at the king’s hand in matters concerning the people (Nehemiah 11:24).
