Meshezabel

Meshezabel is a person named in Nehemiah as the father of Berechiah and Pethahiah. Nehemiah 3:4 identifies Meshullam as “son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel” while describing work on a section. Nehemiah 11:24 names Pethahiah as Meshezabel’s son and says that Pethahiah was at the king’s hand for matters concerning the people. Meshezabel is also listed by name in Nehemiah 10:21. The name occurs in at least 3 verses, all in Nehemiah.
