Ammishaddai

Ammishaddai in the Bible is the father of Ahiezer, who is identified as being from Dan at Numbers 1:12. Ammishaddai is named in at least five verses, all in Numbers. The text calls Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai and names him leader of the sons of Dan when Dan's camp is placed on the north (Numbers 2:25). Ahiezer presents an offering as Dan's leader (Numbers 7:66), and his offering includes animals for a sacrifice of peace offerings (Numbers 7:71). When Dan's camp sets out as the rear guard, Ahiezer is over its army (Numbers 10:25).
