31It was reckoned to him for righteousness to a generation and to a generation until forever.32They provoked anger upon the waters of provocation, and it became evil for Moses because of them.33For they rebelled against his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.34They did not destroy the people whom the LORD commanded them.35They intermingled with the nations and learned their deeds.36They served their idols, and these became a snare to them.37They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.38They poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, which they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted by the blood.39They defiled themselves by their deeds and played the harlot by their deeds.40The anger of the LORD burned against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.41He gave them into the hand of the nations, and their haters ruled over them.42Their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought low under their hand.43Many times he delivered them, but they rebelled by their own counsel and sank in their iniquity.44He saw their distress when he heard their cry.45He remembered his covenant for them and relented according to the greatness of his steadfast love.46He granted them compassion before all their captors.47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.48Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen. Praise the LORD.
