The occurrences show making a person’s body firm or whole, and, in a separate communal setting, assemblies being made firm in the faith.

   In Acts 3:7, the passive plural form occurs as the man is raised up, and the APB renders that his feet and ankles were "strengthened." In Acts 3:16, the active singular form occurs in the statement that the man known to the audience was made whole through faith connected with the name.

2. Making assemblies firm in faith · occasional

   In Acts 16:5, the imperfect passive plural form concerns the assemblies; the APB renders the clause, "the assemblies were strengthened in the faith" as their number increased.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB uses "strengthened" for the assemblies in Acts 16:5 and for feet and ankles in Acts 3:7, while Acts 3:16 presents the result as "wholeness." That variation does not by itself define separate meanings.
