Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai, led the sons of Simeon in Numbers.
Shelumiel is the tribal leader of Simeon’s sons in Numbers, identified as the son of Zurishaddai. He is first named from Simeon in Numbers 1:6. The text says that he was to lead Simeon’s camp (Numbers 2:12) and was over the tribe’s army (Numbers 10:19). On the fifth day, he presented an offering (Numbers 7:36); its peace offering included two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five year-old male lambs (Numbers 7:41). Shelumiel is named in at least five verses, all in Numbers.
