Elishama

tribal leader People also: Elishama

Elishama, son of Ammihud, led the sons of Ephraim and presented an offering.

Elishama in the Bible is the Numbers tribal leader from Ephraim, identified as the son of Ammihud and named in at least five verses in Numbers. Numbers 2:18 calls him leader of Ephraim’s sons, with their camp’s standard on the west. On the seventh day, he presented an offering (Numbers 7:48); the passage lists two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five year-old male lambs for peace offerings (Numbers 7:53). When Ephraim’s camp set out according to its armies, Elishama was over his army (Numbers 10:22).
