she.phal denotes bringing people or rulers down, including the humbling of a heart.

The attested use concerns bringing someone down: a ruler brings down whomever he wishes in Daniel 5:19, a later king brings down three kings in Daniel 7:24, and Belshazzar is addressed concerning the humbling of his heart in Daniel 5:22. Daniel 4:34 contains an infinitive form within a praise clause, though the APB does not isolate its contribution there.
