le.qet denotes what is left in a harvest and is not to be gathered.

The attested use concerns what remains from a harvest: both verses prohibit gathering it after reaping the field, and Leviticus 23:22 directs that what is left be left for the afflicted and the sojourner.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the noun within the phrase “the gleaning of your harvest” in both verses. That phrase confirms the harvest setting but does not isolate every aspect of the noun's contribution.
