The genitive singular form occurs in a clause identifying a sea: in John 6:1 the APB renders “the sea of Galilee, that is, the sea of Tiberias.” In John 21:1 the APB likewise renders Jesus' appearance to the disciples “on the sea of Tiberias.”

In John 6:23, the same genitive singular form occurs where the APB says that other small boats “came from Tiberias” near the place where bread was eaten.
In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the term twice within “sea of Tiberias” and once in “came from Tiberias.” These renderings confirm the verse contexts rather than isolate every contribution of the form.
