   The adverb marks an all-around spatial relation in all three occurrences. In Mark 1:45 the APB renders people as coming “from all sides”; in Luke 19:43 it renders enemies hemming the city in “on every side”; and in Hebrews 9:4 it renders the ark as covered “on all sides with gold.”
