Pantachou marks an action, report, teaching, or command as extending without restriction from place to place.

The attested use marks broad, unrestricted extension across places: teaching and preaching are carried out in many locations, a report spreads through a region, opposition is spoken in many places, and a command addresses people without geographic limitation.

Senses in use

  1. Unrestricted extension across places · dominant

As an adverb, the form broadens the reach of the surrounding action or statement. In Mark 16:20 and Luke 9:6, the APB renders preaching and healing as occurring “everywhere”; in 1 Corinthians 4:17, teaching is rendered as occurring “everywhere in every assembly.” Mark 1:28 describes fame going out through the surrounding region, while Acts 17:30 extends God’s command to repent to all people and Acts 28:22 describes a sect as spoken against in many places.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB regularly presents the adverb with “everywhere,” including preaching, healing, teaching, and speech against the sect. In Acts 17:30 it appears within “all people everywhere,” while Mark 1:28 expresses the same broad reach through fame going out “into all the surrounding region of Galilee”.
