Miletos is the place named as a travel destination, point of departure, and location where Trophimus was left.

The attested verses use the term as a place-name: travelers come to it in Acts 20:15, a message is sent from it in Acts 20:17, and Trophimus is left there in 2 Timothy 4:20.

   In Acts 20:15, the accusative singular form occurs in the travel sequence where the APB renders, "we came to Miletus." In Acts 20:17, the genitive singular form identifies the point from which a message was sent to Ephesus, while 2 Timothy 4:20 uses the dative singular form for the location where Trophimus was left.
