Lustra is a named place appearing as a destination, local setting, and location associated with persecution.

The term consistently identifies a place: people flee or travel there, events occur there, local believers speak from there, and persecution is recalled as having come there.

   In Acts 14:6 the accusative singular form occurs as the destination among the cities to which they fled, and in Acts 14:21 it is included in their return route. In Acts 14:8 and Acts 16:2, the dative plural form marks the setting for a lame man and for the brothers' testimony about Timothy; 2 Timothy 3:11 includes it among the places where persecutions and sufferings came upon the speaker.

In the Anselm Project Bible: The APB presents the term as a place-name, usually in travel or location phrases such as "to Lystra" and "in Lystra." In 2 Timothy 3:11 it appears in a list of places connected with persecutions.
