Numbers lists Zerah among Judah’s sons and names the clan of the Zerahites (Numbers 26:20). Joshua identifies Achan as son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, in connection with taking from the devoted thing (Joshua 7:1). Nehemiah also names Pethahiah as being from the sons of Zerah son of Judah (Nehemiah 11:24).
