Terah

Terah is the biblical figure named as the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. He is first named as Nahor’s son in Genesis 11:24, and Genesis identifies his household through these sons in Genesis 11:26-27. Terah traveled with Abram, Lot, and Sarai from Ur of the Chaldeans toward Canaan; the group came to Haran and settled there (Genesis 11:31). Joshua’s speech names Terah as the father of Abraham and Nahor and says that they served other gods beyond the River (Joshua 24:2). Terah is named in at least 9 verses across 3 books.
