Shammah in the Bible is a Genesis person named as one of Reuel’s sons, with Basemath identified as the wife of Esau. Genesis 36:13 lists Shammah alongside Nahath, Zerah, and Mizzah. The same passage later calls him “chief Shammah” among the chiefs of Reuel in the land of Edom and again identifies this group as sons of Basemath, wife of Esau (Genesis 36:17).
