Serug is named in Genesis as Reu’s son and Nahor’s father.
Serug in the Bible is the Genesis person named as Reu’s son and Nahor’s father. Genesis records that Reu fathered Serug and that Serug fathered Nahor (Genesis 11:20; Genesis 11:22). The passage also says that Reu had sons and daughters after fathering Serug, and that Serug had sons and daughters after fathering Nahor (Genesis 11:21; Genesis 11:23). Serug’s recorded placement in these verses is between Reu and Nahor.
