Parosh is named in Ezra through the designation “sons of Parosh.”
Parosh is the Ezra person first named in a list that calls a group “the sons of Parosh,” numbering two thousand one hundred seventy-two (Ezra 2:3). The name is recorded in at least three verses, all in Ezra.
Another passage names Zechariah among “the sons of Parosh” and states that one hundred and fifty males were enrolled with him (Ezra 8:3). Ezra also lists Ramiah, Izziah, Malchijah, Mijamin, Eleazar, Malchijah, and Benaiah from the sons of Parosh (Ezra 10:25).
