Pahath-moab is a Nehemiah person first named as Hasshub’s father in Nehemiah 3:11. That verse says Hasshub, with Malchijah son of Harim, strengthened a second measure and the tower of the ovens. Nehemiah also records “the sons of Pahath-moab” as the sons of Jeshua and Joab (Nehemiah 7:11). Pahath-moab is listed among the heads of the people in Nehemiah 10:14. The name occurs in at least three verses, all in Nehemiah.
