Henadad

Henadad is a person named in Nehemiah as the father of Bavvai and Binnui. Nehemiah 3:18 calls Bavvai “son of Henadad” and says that he strengthened a section with his brothers. Nehemiah 3:24 similarly identifies Binnui as Henadad’s son and describes him strengthening a second measure from the house of Azariah to the angle and corner.

Henadad is named in at least three verses, all in Nehemiah. Nehemiah 10:9 refers to Binnui among “the sons of Henadad.”
